Who Am I?
I'm a bisexual, agender librarian, who loves reading and raising awareness and finding stuff for people, and who gets frustrated by incomplete resources and people who don't read enough.

All art and graphics by me. Why not check out my awesomely fabulous Zazzle store?

Booklists for Young Adults
Book lists by Genre and Identity. Links are either by tag or to specific posts, as appropriate.
  • Multiple identities in one book
  • Manga
  • Graphic novels
  • Non-fiction
  • Poetry
    • I don't think many YA queer poetry books exist. A few of the general GLBTQ fiction and nonfiction anthologies contain poems.

Reading Ages

Obviously actual reading level can vary, based on the person reading the book, but I've done my best to indicate a baseline range to help indicate the reading and content level. Most of the fiction listed is suitable for readers between twelve and eighteen.

Resources for Parents & Teachers

Nonfiction for parents of queer kids, and reader's guides about YA literature for teachers and librarians.

Selection Critera and the Publishing Industry

Book Reviews
Occasional individual reviews of titles that don't fit into the lists, or deserve special attention.

  1. Hey! I noticed the empty space under poetry and I actually have a suggestion (not sure if you've come across this before so..). Richard Siken has some pretty fantastic poetry books, and he is also gay. One of his books, Crush, certainly discusses his sexuality. Just if you want to check it out!
